Paul the 'Psychic' Octopus has predicted that Spain will win the World Cup finals on Sunday. The Octopus has gone six for six in all of Germany's matches this World Cup, and the World is waiting to see if he the octopus gets the final correct as well.
As Paul is with Spain, there has been another animal, rather bird, who has been in the news for it's prediction for the World Cup finals. Paul, the ‘psychic’ octopus may have gained a celebrity status in Europe, but in south east Asia, its Mani the Parrot, who has taken the limelight away from Paul.
Mani, is a 13 year old parrot from Singapore, who shot to fame after predicting all four quarterfinals correctly and also picked Spain against Germany in the semis.
Mani is ownedby M Muniyapan, who sets up shop outside a restaurant in the Little India neighbourhood in Singapore. Mani predicts the winner by chosing one of the two cards bearing flag of respective countries, placed in front of him. “He’s a special bird”, Muniyapan told the media.
Now, Mani has tipped Netherlands against Spain to win the coveted title, which has heated the battle of species after Paul chose Spain over Netherlands.
